  There is science standing behind The Hot Toddy, not just old wives' tales.This is a wonderful drink to consume when you are feeling sick with the flu or have a cold. Whiskey has shown to actually benefit you when you are ill and make you feel better. Whiskey works like a decongestant, anesthetic, and antiseptic all at the same time. It will unclog your nose, numb your throat pain and kill the bacteria. The tea, honey and lemon together loosen the mucus in your nose and coat and protect your throat. Cold be gone.

Hot Toddy recipe
1 cup very hot water
1 black tea bag
2 ounces Jack Daniels whiskey
1 tbsp. honey
1 tsp lemon juice

  1. Run some water in a mug and warm it in the microwave. 
  2. Place the tea bag into the water and let steep for three minutes. 
  3. Add whiskey, honey and lemon juice. Mix together. 
  4. Take sips and feel better.
