Girl's Zebra Cupcake Cheer Party

My daughter loves zebra print right now, and so do half of Americans it seems. I decided to use it as the theme for our End of Season Cheer Party. It was also at a Cupcake place, Sugar Queen Cupcakes. Sugar Queen Cupcakes generously provided the party and all the cupcakes for the girls. I was able to work all the ideas into the party:  zebra, cupcakes and cheer! It turned out great. The kids loved it and it made for super cute party decor.

The party favors were large wooden wall letters. First I painted the letters black and then I mod podged zebra scrapbook paper to the letters that I had traced and cut out. After it dried, I sanded the sides and gave it a final coat of mod podge. Then I hot glued on some cute flowers and ribbon for hanging the letters.

For the place cards, I found some cute stickers of cupcakes, megaphones and poms at Hobby Lobby. I love Hobby Lobby. They have lots of great sales and super coupons. The megaphones and pom stickers were 3D and blinged out. I was able to use a gold paint pen and color in the white part of the sticker. My daughter's cheer team colors were black and gold. I then took the stickers and placed them on square cut outs of pink, white and black and glued them onto leftover folded zebra paper. Lastly I took gold letter stickers and spelled their names on each card.

These little things could easily add up to be costly. I watched for sales at Hobby Lobby and used my coupons. Got lots of goods for half off!
